How To Live Your Best Quarantine Life

And How To Do It
In-Style

*I'm gonna start this one off by addressing the current state of our country atm - these are very weird and scary times we're living in and given the fact that most of us are stuck in and around our home for the next 10 days [at minimum], we're going to need some discipline and distraction to go along with the binge-watching and news updates on the pandemic Covid-19's current events. Here, we're gonna keep it light-hearted and try to conduct business as usual in order to provide you with some distraction and offer up a few tips on how you can quell your boredom and stay on task from the comfort of your home over the next couple of weeks.*

Set Your Alarms
It's important to wake when you normally do to keep the routine you will eventually return to. Keeping some structure will help the transition back to your daily grind that much easier. It will also help keep the flow of your life positive by maintaining some form of normalcy, thus improving production when back at the office and during your stay at home.

Get Moving!

Take it from this stay at home mom - getting up and out of your 2 day old pajamas is a key element to feeling good and being productive. Why not start off every other day of your coronacation in your favorite athleisure and begin with a quick morning workout! It's one of the best ways to destress, achieve mental clarity, release physical tension and stay in shape during this time of social distancing. My favorite way to get it in at home is by riding my bike for cardio, jumping on the kids trampoline (or be safer than me and buy one suited for adults) and using the KEEP app - it offers a series of free workouts (some require coins you earn with each consecutive log in/session you complete) at different training levels to 'keep' you on top of your phisical game.

Support Small Businesses

By shopping mindfully, within your means, for PC-19 (Post Covid-19). At VixieTodd, we have a bunch of affordable options to keep you in style; and while fashion may not be on your top list of priorities, doing what makes you feel good and keeps you happy is important during this time. Whether that means stacking your wrists and fingers with some fun sets to ogle while you answer emails and DMs, putting on a simple pair of earrings to complete your look for your facetime dates or gifting someone you love a shiny new bauble to lift their spirits or let them know you're thinking of them - no measure is too small. This leads us to the next tip...

pamper Yourself

Give yourself a facial - or two! (these face masks work Amazingly and are funny as hell when dry), have a nice long soak in your tub with Epsom salts, essential oils and burning candles, do your hair, DIY|build, paint your nails, paint your home, upcycle, nap, bake, cook, read - do whatever it is that brings you peace. Pampering doesn't only mean masks and massages it also means allowing yourself to do the things you normally wouldn't be able to do during regular work hours. With any luck, you'll emerge from these few weeks of quarantine smarter and more worldly than when it started - with a fresh face that looks years younger; you'll be well rested and ready to take on the world with a renewed sense of self. So, what will you do with your alone time?

Make Family Time a Priority

There's no time like the present. And presently, we're stuck alongside our significant others, close friends (aka adopted family) and our kids. So why not make the absolute best of this unforeseen quality time together! Shift your thinking a bit - this is a [tiny] blessing (for those who are healthy, safe and adhering to the rules set by our government, WHO and CDC). Those of you who aren't able to be with each other as much as you wish you could, now get the opportunity to do so. Have everyone join in your workout sesh [Ring Fit Adventure is a Great way to keep moving for those with a switch] - build each other up, download some learning apps for the littles on their ipads [Tiny Tap is a good one!], binge watch shows together, break out and dust off those old board games, play cards, have a Mario Kart tournament! If you don't have access to any of the above - Charades is an easy game to throw together. It only requires a pencil, paper and a bit of imagination; Always a Simple and Fun Choice!
