These Two Products Are All You'll Ever Need.
These Two Products Are All You'll Ever Need.
Let. Me. Tell. You. After a summer of swimming and sunbathing following nearly a year of no [professional] haircare regimens - my hair was not only looking dull, but feeling brittle and lifeless. Which, was never the norm for me; hence why I was in the market for a product or two that would not only be easy and quick (that mom life) but also affordable. Enter these two [ammonia, sulfate + silicone free] holy grail items that will save your mane and bring it back to life!
Kristin Ess 'The One Signature Hair Gloss': $13 - $27
I use the Bittersweet Dark Neutral Brown shade - Trust Me, Buy the 2 Pack
L'Oréal Paris Elvive 8 Second Wonder Water: $8.97
This is a lamellar water rinse out, a moisturizing [weightless] hair treatment
I use these products in that order. With the gloss, you'll want to choose the shade closest to your own; I use the Bittersweet. My process begins with the gloss [post shampooing] - after it's rinsed from your hair, use the lamellar water in place of your conditioner (truth be told this wonder water has almost fully replaced my need for traditional conditioner as I use it weekly). I concentrate on the parts of my hair that are the most brittle or hard to tame but make sure it's mostly all saturated. The back of the bottles have treatment markers for use - I tend to use a treatment and a half per shower. You get about 8 uses per bottle, which makes this item Super affordable. It helps to closeup your damaged ends/cuticles and smooths flyaways. Both these products are safe to use on curly hair (they're also color safe!) as it does not affect your curl pattern - just helps to make you hair healthier, shinier and full of life - but oooooh, The Shine! You have to see it (and feel) it to believe it. If I feel the need to condition post treatment, I only use a sulfate free conditioner on my ends and a tiny amount at that. The gloss doesn't smell amazing but it doesn't stick to my hair like dye does, so I consider that a win. The lamellar water on the other hand - I personally think smells amazing and the scent keeps my hair smelling fresh and clean even after blow drying, lasting well into the next weeks washing. I also feel that I need to note that whenever I use these products, my hair tends to dry a lot faster - I have an Obscene amount of hair. A blessing and a curse, so anything that helps cut my dry time down is not something I take lightly. The last thing I did that helped it feel this good and dry anywhere near as fast was Magic Sleek. Which I also highly recommend - but when sessions start at $400 for a normal head of hair (shoulder length)...it's not a treatment within my realm of possibility. That's something I have to plan for, Well Worth the money! But not something I can personally justify as often as my hair would need it. These items are very much a Trust Me, Buy This moment. They work, they're affordable and you'll thank yourself later for taking the time to treat your locks.
