Gap Hack!

With Thanksgiving On Fast Approach
2020 Means We'll Be Sitting For Dinner In Comfy Clothes

Cause this year was all about getting back to what's most important, hanging out with each household member - in loungewear; and staying as comfortable as can be in athleisure while staying active at home. So, during Thanksgiving dinner this year I know I'll happily dress in something stretchy, in my high waisted sweats or a loose boyfriend jean, if I'm feelin fancy. The latter of which I have the PERFECT gap hack for! Let's face it, sitting at the dinner table with a full belly and having the band of your jeans press into your stomach Hurts. I couldn't even imagine having a belt on in that instance no matter how stylish it is, so what do you do if you don't want your undies poking out the back of your boyfriend jean or if you're someone like me who tends to have a gap at the back of your looser fitting jeans on the reg?

While scrolling through Instagram, I happened across a video of Camille Callen 's [@noholita] whose style I absolutely adore. She posted a simple life hack; hers of which in my opinion is a smarter, waaay more effective version of the one trending on tiktok. She made one tiny change of the popular trend that elevated the look while making it more practical. Let's see if you notice what she did.

The video is a quick one and you might've missed it, but! All she did was run the string through the side loops as well as the middle back one. In the tiktok videos, they skip the middle loop for reasons I can't understand which defeats the purpose - still leaving a gap and adding to that, the string then sort of cuts into your lower back which feels wildly uncomfortable and try as you might, there's no hiding it. Now, for the hack to work, the jeans pretty much have to fit you well to start with. This isn't a fix-all for ill-fitting jeans, it simply tightens up the waist, enhancing your shape. So don't attempt this on jeans five times too big for you and expect miracles. However, if you have an amazing fitting pair that just need a little lift, or a boyfriend style you want to close the gap on, this hack could be the best thing you've learnt in 2020 so far and her small switch up makes this chic fix effective and stylish!
